Tamil superstar Rajinikanth will be visiting the Kaveri hospital in Chennai on Tuesday, July 31, to inquire about DMK patriarch M Karunanidhi’s health.
Although he has been in touch with his family, he could not personally meet them due to his shooting commitments. Rajinikanth will reportedly return to Chennai on Tuesday, July 31 and will be visiting him later in the day.
Many celebrities from Kollywood, including Kamal Haasan, have visited the Kaveri hospital to inquire about Karunanidhi’s health. But, Rajinikanth could not visit the veteran leader as he was busy shooting in Madurai for Karthik Subbaraj’s film.
Rajinikanth and Karunanidhi share a warm relationship. The superstar called the DMK patriarch after announcing his political entry last year.
M Karunanidhi’s health has remained stable and he is constantly being monitored by a group of doctors. “He continues to be under keen observation of the doctors. M Karunanidhi’s condition is stable as stated in yesterday’s medical bulletin,” MK Stalin is quoted as saying about his father’s health.
For decades, DMK and AIADMK workers have been hostile towards each other, but things seem to be changing since 2016 after MK Stalin visited late Jayalalithaa’s oath-taking ceremony.
Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Edappadi K. Palaniswami and AIADMK ministers also visited the hospital to wish Karunanidhi a speedy recovery.
