Sit-ups, that form of exercise that even children are embarrassed to do because it makes them feel like they are being treated like kids.
However, in more cases than a few, Indians are infamous at using this form of punishment to reduce grown men to toddlers even though the person being subjected to it fails to look on the brightside – that it is a legitimate form of exercise.
Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS) party leader Nitin Nandgokar made a taxi driver do sit-ups outside the Mumbai airport as the man was neither carrying his badge nor wearing uniform.
Nandgaonkar had posted the video on his Facebook account on February 17. The video has already received close to 99,000 views.
“I saw a taxi driver at Mumbai airport without his driver uniform and badge. I told him that he should operate legally. At that point, I did what I felt what was suitable,” the party leader was quoted as saying.
MNS workers and party leaders are no strangers at resorting to hooliganism on the streets of Maharashtra. Media reports said that no complaints were received in the matter by police.
