An unidentified man allegedly threw acid at two school students in Ghaziabad, Uttar Pradesh. The two youngsters were on their way back from school along with their brother-in-law when the incident took place.
Along with the two students, their brother-in-law also sustained injuries in the alleged acid attack.
The alleged incident of acid attack took place at Link Road police station area of Ghaziabad. On Monday, 15-year-old Shivam and 13-year-old Anjali were returning from school along with their brother-in-law Lakhan on a bike.
The three had almost reached their house when an unidentified miscreant allegedly used a pichkari to throw an acid-like substance at them. Before they could react, the attacker fled the spot.
The school students and their brother-in-law sustained injuries on their face and neck. According to Anjali, the alleged attacker was wearing a helmet and used a pistol-shaped pichkari to throw acid at them.
All the three injured were admitted to a private hospital and discharged today. Police have registered a case and launched a search for the accused.
